Hybrid blistering is one of the blistering methods used to obtain a thermoformed package in the form of a blister (which means that it is given the desired shape by heating it) made of materials that are largely recycled and recyclable. The shell containing the product is sandwiched between two thermo-bonded cartons.
Applications: packaging of products sold in self-service outlets.
Technique: creation of a shell in rPET containing up to 85% recycled material and thermo gluing of two cardboard boxes which take the shell in sandwich.
Equipment: thermoforming machine and blistering carousel.
Advantages: the shell, which is recyclable, is not glued to the cardboard box, making it very easy to separate
